孤独，一个人来到这个城市，只有几个并不怎么喜欢我的亲人，身边一个朋友也没有，本来这里有几个同学，可是给他们打电话，发短信都不怎么理我，为什么以前的同学突然成了这个样子……我想结交新朋友，可是我的内向自卑的性格让我很难交到新朋友，我也不爱踢球，不会唱歌，总之年轻人该会的东西我一个都不会，而且有时候过于老实（这也是我不受女孩子欢迎的原因），每次网上的朋友聚会的时候我都推脱，因为我害怕，害怕见到陌生的人。很多以前的同学，现在只有在用到我的时候才会给我来个电话，否则一个电话也不会给我打。记得有一次，过年了，我给同学一个个的打电话，就会了那么几个，有一个还说：“你给我打电话了，所以我现在给你回一个”……

我实在没有地方发这个东西，只能在这里发了，请容许我发泄一下，我真的很难受！

1) We are 陌生人, you told us, that is good.

2) You know you problems, That is good too.
内向自卑的性格
过于老实
害怕见到陌生的人
不爱踢球，不会唱歌，总之年轻人该会的东西我一个都不会

3) Try to change yourself some
a) I think you like Java and Technical stuff, try to join a local Java user group or other tech group, do something for the group
b) If there is no user group to join, join any non-profit oganization, such as help poor people or help elder people, help disadvantaged children, or environment protection agency...
c) All in all, meet some warm hearted people... who will help you to change when you are helping others

4楼的，你怎么发空的内容？

请允许我不男人的再发泄一下：我小学时候有个老师，女的，年轻人，刚来我们班（毕业班），我妈和几个家长不同意她交毕业班，于是联合起来向校长反映，这个女老师很生气。于是，有一次，我放学的时候，她在走廊里看到我，指着我对我说：“你父母长得都可以，你怎么长得这么难看……”当时我没觉得什么，可是回家以后越来越觉得难受，觉得我真的像那个老师说的那样。于是在以后的日子里（尤其是初中三年），我觉得自己长得都没脸活下去了，我觉得路边的人都在看我，像看着一个百年不遇的丑八怪，自卑到了极点。不过到高中以后好多了，现在也不恨那个老师了。

发泄完了，憋在心里的事终于说出来了，oh yeah~~~~~~~~~~

同学, 亲人 relationships do not change over time, therefore, they are better and more important relationships than friends.

Believe me or not, in 30-40 years, if you become the president of PRC, your 同学's grandchildren will tell others, the president was a classmate of my grandfather.

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited his Vietnamese classmate (just a retired engineer) to lunch when he visited Vietnam not long ago.

Try to do some good things for them (同学, 亲人), invite them to a party, send out Birthday cards, Happy-New-Year cards, small gifts to them or their children...

I am a female(F), not a male (M), not a he or him, not a male squared (MM) either.

I have been active on the Internet for 8 years now.

Nobody ever doubted I was a lady until I came to the Chinese forums, even I called myself ranchgirl on Chinese forums.

What a cultural shock!!!!

Now I know what a great decision I made on 2004. I denied a job offer from an international company in Shanghai. I was closing to an end to my contract with a company doing subcontract with them, and the job market was not good in the US then.

The reasons I gave to the company:

1) I am a lady, people look down on lady programmers in China.
2) I am out of the "percepted programmer age" in China
3) The pay is not too bad, but still a little too low. (USD$5k/month, and they offered boarding for free.)
