Actually Spring and Hibernate are nothing like in common, I would say try to study them in parallel.

个人觉得先学struts，再学spring或者hibernate
然后在struts+spring，然后struts+hibernate+spring一起学。
1、先学struts，利用JDBC或者连接池连接数据库；
2、学一下hibernate对数据库的一些操作：事物、模板、HQL……
3、再学struts+spring，spring里可以连接数据库；
4、struts+spring+hibernate，用hibernate连接数据库

个人观点，不当之处敬请指正
我也正在学，大概就按照上面的思路学的
