Don't worry, it is very easy. I never used Rational Rose myself before, so I cannot tell you the details to follow, but all the UML diagram drawing tools are similar. (Just simply thinks it as a regular drawing tool) I can give you some advice on this as following.
1) Draw the UML diagrams on the paper from scratch. (use case diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram etc..)
2) Use rational rose to implement what you have done in step 1
3) Print it out and give it to your lecturer.
4) Done.

n.b.
*use case diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram* are the three most important diagrams in UML, ignore others because they are never used in the most cases.

dont waste time to create some *fancy-looking* diagrams.
