在联想的机器上安装SQL Server时,总是提示"Microsoft Sql Server 2000 Enterprise Edition服务器组件在此操作系统不被支持,只有客户端组件才可用于安装",结果就没法安装数据库服务器,为什么??我在两台配置不一样的联想机上安装时都出现这种问题,操作系统不管是Windows 2000 Professional还是Windows XP Home Edition或者是Windows XP Professional都不行,应该不是光盘的问题，因为在别人的电脑上可以安装成功，请问这是怎么回事？？？

跟机器硬件没关，我用的就是Legend的机器，在Windows 2000 Professional上不能安装 Microsoft Sql Server 2000 Enterprise Edition，Microsoft Sql Server 2000 Enterprise Edition只能安装在2000 server,advanced server,datacenter上（还有NT的相应服务器版上）。如果你非要在Windows 2000 Professional上安装SQL Server的server只能安装MSDE目录下的桌面版（功能有限）。

xp没用过，我想原因差不多。

If you have Windows 2000 Professional, and would like to install SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition, use NTSwitch - a small tool to turn a Windows NT Workstation (or a Windows 2000 Professional) into a Server environment and vice versa. You should be able to find related links with a simple google search. This tool is not supported, so use it at your own risk. I personally have been running this on my w2k pro (appeared to be w2k server) with SQL Server 2k EE for a while and so far I do not have any problem with it.

Posted by: 牛老板 Posted on: 2003-05-26 21:35 哦，我前几天安装学习SQL Server2000,也是这种提示，用的XP Pro,估计是只能安装在SERVER or NT 版上，其它的win OS只能安装开发版的MS SQL吧....
