JDK - java development kit, used to compile and run java code, you can download a version from Sun(there are other vendors too, IBM, ...). It doesn't have an editor to write code, you have to use other tools to do so and save your code in *.java files.

Jbuilder - IDE(Integrated Developement Environment) for Java, you can edit, compile, and run, all in the same window.

Both could be run under linux, as long as you have the linux versions.
