看了TSS上的这篇文章，尤其这几段，觉得有点实在意义，没有任何意思。

There are 3 major JVM providers, but AFAIK only IBM thinks that is's too soo to move to J2SE5.0 )

IBM even thinks it's too soon to move to J2SE 1.4!

Continuing on the serious side, I think 5.0 is doing very well, there appears to be good support from vendors, several now standardise on 5.0, the small/medium ones not the monolithic dinosaur vendors. All the serious IDEs provide good support for 5.0 now especially IntelliJ and most OS projects are now releasing updates for 5.0.

记得当初购买Web Application Server时，所有应用服务器（包括国产的Apusic）全部支持ejb 2.0的规范啦，就是Websphere 1.1，据说追求稳定。
在Eclipse没有启动支持jdk 1.5的3.1版本时，所有的主流开发工具JB,NetBeans,IDEA等都支持Java 5，就Eclipse出手最慢，M7应该好点啦。
Eclipse 3.1发布后，恐怕又不能跑在jdk 1.5，可是现在的IDE工具都能跑在jdk 1.5上啦。
EBJ 3.0的规范看来也是WebSphere最后一个支持的，最后一个支持Java 5的VM恐怕也是IBM发布的。
