我从来没有学过java，上大学的时候java还没有普及。可是现在，我很想学习
java，应该从哪儿入手呢？各位高手给点意见好吗

the chance to take some programming courses while you 上大学.
Maybe you could tell us about your background like programming experience... }

Since you have C/C++ experience, I guess you may find Bruce Eckel's "Thinking in Java" a nice fit.
As for IDE, Eclipse ( www.eclipse.org ) is a nice choice.
(BTW, you may find the O'Reilly book on Eclipse useful -- you may find it in the Java Books or Java IDE board -- do a search)
Anyway, it could be beneficial to get your hands dirty with a text editor and Sun's J2SDK first.
